Mushrooms For Life – Organic Snow Fungus Capsules (60 capsules)

Organic Snow Fungus, also known as Tremella, in a plant-based capsule. With 400 mg of hot-water extract from the fruiting body per capsule. Vegan, gluten-free and without fillers. Contents: 60 capsules.

Snow Fungus immediately stands out: a pale mushroom with soft, folded shapes. You may know it as Tremella or silver ear. Mushrooms For Life processes this distinctive species into an organic extract in capsules.

Each capsule contains 400 mg of extract from the fruiting body, the visible part of the mushroom. You are choosing Tremella in a form that is easy to take with water.

Why is Tremella so well known?

In Asian cooking, Tremella has long been used in soups and sweet dishes. The mushroom has a distinctive structure that can hold a lot of moisture.

This is partly due to its polysaccharides: long chains of sugar units. These natural substances are also studied for applications in skincare. Their ability to bind water attracts particular interest.

Tremella therefore appears in skincare products as well as foods and supplements. These capsules contain a dry extract that you take orally, not a product for the skin.

What is in the fruiting body?

Mushrooms For Life makes the extract from Tremella’s visible, folded fruiting body. The formula contains no blend of different mushroom species.

A mushroom grows from a network of fine fungal threads, the mycelium. Some supplements also process that part. These capsules use only fruiting body extract.

This makes the origin of the extract clear. When comparing products, you can look at the part used as well as the amount.

From mushroom to hot-water extract

For preparation, the fruiting body is processed with hot water. This releases water-soluble components from the mushroom. After the water is removed, an extract powder remains.

The powder goes into a plant-based capsule, ready to take with a glass of water.

That is the practical difference from Tremella as a cooking ingredient. You choose a fixed amount of extract without changing your meal.

Composition per capsule

The ingredients list consists of the mushroom extract and the plant-based shell. That shell is cellulose, a thin layer that holds the powder together. No fillers have been added.

The capsules are vegan and gluten-free. The amount in the table refers to the complete extract, not one individual substance.

How do you use Snow Fungus Capsules?

For adults, take two capsules at a time, one to three times per day. This can be with or without food. Swallow them with a glass of water.

Depending on your daily use, the jar lasts 10 to 30 days. At the current product price, this works out at £0.81 - £2.43 per day.

Store the capsules in a cool, dry place and close the pack tightly. Keep them away from direct sunlight. The best-before date is on your own pack.

Choosing a capsule

A capsule is convenient if you prefer not to stir mushroom powder into your food. Take the portion with water, with nothing to measure, at home or on the go.

About Mushrooms For Life

Mushrooms For Life was founded in 2011 by Martin Powell. The brand focuses on organically grown mushrooms and processes them into various supplements.

Snow Fungus centres on one species and one part used: the fruiting body. Does that clear composition appeal to you? Then this is a suitable choice within our mushroom range.

Good to know when using it

Do not use the product if you have a known allergy to Tremella. Stop using it if you experience an allergic reaction.

The capsules are intended for adults. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Keep the pack out of reach of young children.
