The Red Yeast Rice Complex capsules are for maintaining normal blood pressure and supporting a responsible cholesterol level. It is based on a traditional Chinese food supplement that is created through the fermentation of rice.

Why use Red Yeast Rice Complex as cholesterol control?

The renewed formula is a balanced complex of red yeast rice extract, black garlic, and a high dose of Co-Enzyme Q10. Co-enzyme Q10 plays an essential role in the cell’s energy metabolism. Users of statins have noticed that muscle pain or tired muscles can be an unpleasant side effect that may be caused by a reduction of Q10 in the blood [1-2].

In addition, the supplement contains potassium, which has been scientifically proven to be good for blood pressure, muscles, and the nervous system. Many people with elevated cholesterol levels are prescribed statins by their GP. During the fermentation process of the Red Yeast Rice, with the aid of the fungus Monascus Pupureus, the substance Monacolin K is formed, related to the substance lovastatin. Monacolin K is basically a natural statin.
